P3 investigated how different conditions effected cress seeds. They observed and compared the growth in different locations. They found out first hand that plants need water and light to grow. This experiment was a great way to introduce the kids about fair testing, plant science and observation skills. They found out that cress seeds need water to germinate even without light. The cress seeds in the dark cupboard did not grow as well as the tray in the sunlight. They concluded that plants need both water and sunlight to grow healthy.
