P2/P3 have been learning about the lifecycles of various plants and animals. As a class they grew their own butterflies from an egg. They watched in awe as the caterpillars emerged from the eggs and then formed into chrysalises. The children watched with excitement as the butterflies hatched and spread their wings. We then released our butterflies into the wild.
