Our school took part in a fantastic Irish football blitz this morning in Donnelly Park, five other schools attended for a fun and friendly morning of sport and Irish language development. The emphasis was not only on football skills but also on the celebration of the Irish language, teamwork, and positive participation.
A number of special awards were presented for Most Use of the Irish Language both individually and as a school.
St. Scire's won the school award and congratulations to Francis, Amy and Noah who won awards in their teams and to Caolan who won the award for overall best Irish speaker of the day.
A huge thank you to the dedicated club volunteers who refereed throughout the morning, ensuring fair play and great spirit. We are especially grateful to Brenda Kelly, whose hard work and organisation made the entire event run smoothly and successfully.
